Jareld Claude Emery, 1935 - 2012
Emery, Jareld Claude ʻJerryʼ, born January 18, 1935 in Kansas City, MO left this world Monday, October 29, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. & Cora Emery of Tulsa, OK and his childhood sweetheart and wife, Shirley Ann Church. He is survived by 3 daughters and son-in-laws, Janice & Phil Brown of Coweta, Jara & Clair McKean of Mounds, OK, and Kathy & Ronnie Wolfe of Sand Springs, OK. He had 13 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren. Jerry had many talents...he was a musician, carpenter, and photographer. He retired from Rockwell Intʼl and anxiously dived full-time into his love of music. He had a natural talent playing various instruments: piano, guitar and accordian. He was Co-founder of the Western Swing Society of the Southwest (WSMSS). He and his wife performed in many Tulsa venues/events and traveled all over the U.S. performing. Music was his life and he lived life to the fullest.
